SUMMARY:Nigerian Forestry Students and graduates Roundtable session #3
DESCRIPTION:Learning is beyond geographical location and forestry students do have an opportunity to study abroad in order to get quality education\, experience culture and work in a new environment and international exposure. One of the easiest ways to do this is through a scholarship abroad route. \n“Scholarship programme for MSc and Phd students from developing countries. A forestry and natural resources targeted scholarship programme can be established under UNESCO or World Bank Scholarships Program.” was one of the recommendations by Monica Gabay and Mika Rekola (2019) in a background study prepared for the fourteenth session of the United Nations Forum on Forests [See here – https://ifsa.net/forest-education-needed-in-all-schools/] \nAs the scholarship application season draws close for the year 2021\, many forestry students and graduates in Nigeria and beyond are not aware of scholarships opportunities they can tap into.
