IFSA-IUFRO JTF Session

We will discuss the challenges in teaching and training in silviculture and the work prospects for students once they graduate. There are three main challenges for the classical approach to teaching in silviculture: (a) the economic basis for running a course, (b) the increasing diversity of students, and (c) the staff reductions and increasing automation in operational forestry.
