Open call for delegation to the 18th UNFF session 2023

The Eighteenth Session of the United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF18) will be held in New York from 8-12 May 2023. The Forum welcomes the participation of the nine major groups as identified in Chapter 23 of Agenda 21, including women, children and youth, indigenous people, non-governmental organizations, local authorities, workers and trade unions, business and industry, scientific and technological communities, farmers, and small forest landowners.

Major groups accredited by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) and the former Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) are encouraged to participate in sessions of the Forum. Organizations NOT accredited to ECOSOC or CSD may attend as part of their country’s delegation or as part of the delegation of an accredited organization.

IFSA is an accredited organization of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) and a focal point for a major group of children and youth. Therefore, IFSA is sending delegates to this forum to advocate for children and youth voices in the forestry forum.
