TreE-Learning Commissioners Open Call

Great! You should become a TreE-Learning Commissioner so you can get involved in the creative process for getting knowledge about interesting, diverse toppics out to our IFSA community.
Additional Information
The TreE-Learning Sub-Commission is a new commission created at the Online IFSS in 2020. The TreE-learning platform was made to respond to the needs of forestry students to fill in the gaps left by their formal education. The platform’s main content is divided into two main categories, soft skills and forestry topics, in addition to which you can find information about different careers in forestry, links to other useful online courses and material from past IFSA delegations.
The goal of this Sub-Commission is to develop the current learning platform on the IFSA Website, managing and updating learning material on it.
Position description
Tasks
- Helping in creating new content for the learning platform in collaboration with HoSC Forestry Education;
- Further improve the learning platform and user experience on the IFSA website
- Work on collaborations with member universities and partner organizations.
Skills and knowledge
- Computer and web literacy is an asset
- Organizational skills are a must
- Writing skills are needed
- Skills in content/module creation
- Skills in proofreading and overall content management
Most importantly: you want to contribute to the learning process of our IFSA members by providing them with valuable knowledge in a condensed but complete way.
Estimated Workload
Average workload is 3-5 hours per week.

You must send an email with the subject: “TreE-Learning Commissioner – Applicant’s name” to treelearning@ifsa.net with the following documents attached:
- A verification letter from your Local Committee (LC) signed by the President of your LC, verifying that you are a member of the LC in PDF format (Here you can find a template for the verification letter.).
2. A (short) motivation letter in PDF format (max. 300 words), covering why you want to take this position and what you want to achieve in this position.
Requirements:
In order to apply for Commissioner, you MUST comply with these requirements:
- You need to be a member of an IFSA Local Committee and either be an active student or have graduated no longer than one year ago.
- Proficiency in English, as it is the official language of IFSA and, therefore, the only means of communication between Officials.
- Good internet connection: given the fact that all the work as a commissioner is done remotely, a good internet connection is crucial to effectively accomplish your tasks.
- Access to a computer or tablet.
