Open Call for IFSA Delegates

An Opportunity to be an IFSA delegate at UNCCD COP15

The fifteenth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP15) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) will take place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, West Africa, from 9 to 20 May 2022.

The COP15 theme, ‘Land. Life. Legacy: From scarcity to prosperity’, is a call to action to ensure land, the lifeline on this planet, continues to benefit present and future generations. COP15 will bring together leaders from governments, the private sector, civil society and other key stakeholders from around the world to drive progress in the future sustainable management of one of our most precious commodities: land. ​

IFSA, as a registered NGO, has observer status and will send a delegation of lucky individuals. We are looking for dynamic people to engage, participate and report on this world class event. We are looking for a diverse group of individuals (level of education, field of study, gender, region, etc.) that can contribute in their own way to the delegation. When filling out the application form, let us know what you think you can bring to the team (for example: leadership, good written skills, understanding of international negotiations, social media presence, experience, etc.). In other words, tell us how unique you are !

The fund for the IFSA delegation is limited; we would prioritize the IFSA members who would be able to self-fund for the whole journey of the UNCCD COP15.

The Last Date of Application : 12th April, 2022

IFSA Verification Letter or Self-verification from ifsa.net is required for completion of the application process.
