Cultural Day of the Republic of Korea

By: Kyle Joseph Quijano

Head of Cultural Competencies Sub-Commission

The month of April was met with an event that showcased the Republic of Korea being featured in the monthly Cultural Day of the International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA). Last April 24, 2022, at 2 pm UTC+0 on Zoom, Yeji Lee who is a CIFOR/YiL Commissioner gave a presentation regarding some general information about Korea, shared some things about forestry, food, language, and culture present in the country, as well as some unique facts about Korea. Sujin Lee who is a WFC Task Force also gave a “Special Prelude for the World Forestry Congress 2022” that would be happening in Korea this May as well.

The Cultural Competencies Sub-Commission organizes monthly cultural day festivities, and this is one among them. If you’re interested, feel free to join us on future #CulturalDays and learn about the fascinating cultures of our IFSA co-members.
