The future trainee will support two ongoing projects: the Horizon Europe project ForestPaths and a smaller project on “Challenges and experiences in adapting forest management to a changing climate.”
Tasks:
- Review climate and biodiversity smart forest management practices in different forest management contexts
- Assist in writing a report on biodiversity conservation and climate adaptation measures in managed forests
- Identify appropriate forest enterprise case studies for in-depth interviews; Compile and analyze questionnaire responses; Transcription of in-depth interviews
Skills required:
- Knowledge of forestry, forest climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and the European forest management practices
- Experience in a literature review
- Qualitative data analysis from questionnaires/surveys
- Excellent spoken and written English; other European languages (preferred)
