[Call for abstracts] IUFRO Symposium on Forest Education

Merging Theory and Practice with the Help of Digital Tools

The IUFRO Symposium on Forest Education will consist of invited keynotes and seminars, voluntary papers and round table discussions, short communications, field visits, and teaching observations. These activities take place in Helsinki and other places in Southern Finland. Most activities are also communicated in hybrid mode.

Symposium participants will discuss gaps in forest education at the university and college levels, including further education, the curriculum of forest education such as Forest Education Global Core Curriculum (FEGCO), and digital tools and platforms. The aim of the symposium is to discuss

  • how education could find the best ways to combine theory and practice
  • how digital tools could be used to enhance forest education.

This is a hybrid event; we are accepting abstracts. Please check our website and submit your abstract. Please mark your calendar and be an agent of change; teaching and learning about the forest will help us achieve sustainable management and tackle the climate crisis.
