“Conoce el iuFOR” reach their 3rd edition!
Hey there!
Guess what? For the third year running, iuFOR and IFSA Palencia teamed up to bring you the awesome event, “Conoce el iuFOR”! This event is all about diving into the world of forestry research and getting students in the loop.
Picture this: different stands among the university corridor showcasing various forestry research groups and IFSA Palencia showing their experiences. Students from all levels—undergrads, master’s, and PhDs—had the chance to mingle and learn. They got to explore different research topics, understand why digging into these areas is vital for knowledge growth, and even explore potential job opportunities in academia.
From soil collections and fungi samples to drones and lidar scans, each stand had something different to catch the attention. And, get this, all while sipping on some coffee! Imagine having casual conversations with the brains behind the research, learning the nitty-gritty from the people who usually stand at the front of your classrooms. These kinds of activities make university life so much richer.
