This event marks the official opening of the XV World Forestry Congress (XV WFC). The Congress will serve as an opportunity to focus on the current state and future of world forestry in the context of climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic, the global developmental agenda, and other major agreements such as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Global Forest Goals (GFGs), the Paris Agreement on climate change, the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, and the post-2020 Global Biodiversity framework, but also to share the host country, Korea’s forest restoration experience.
IFSA President, Magdalena Jovanovic, will be one of the speakers for the session, alongside H.R.H Princess Basma bint Ali, H.E. Byeong-Am Choi, Qu Dongyu, and H.E. Moon Jae-in.
