JTF Workshop: How to conduct a Systematic Review of Literature in Forest Science and Other Disciplines

The IFSA-IUFRO Joint Task Force seeks to bring together perspectives and knowledge from students, educators and other stakeholders; encourage international discussion on forest education and capacity building; identify, compile and communicate gaps and challenges in forest education – especially highlighting new fields of forest education; and to enhance forestry students’ mobility and education opportunities.

As part of its present activities, the JTF is organising “How to conduct a Systematic Review of Literature in Forest Science and Other Disciplines?” on October 11, 2023 at 1 pm (UTC + 0). Systematic review of literature forms the basis of any research conducted in forest science. It helps to identify the research gaps and scope in the particular field of focus. As young forestry professionals and researchers, it is necessary to properly review the literature to form the basis of any research.

Objectives of this workshop:

– Help students to carry out a proper systematic review of literature (SLR) for forest sciences with step-by-step guidelines

– Provide information on various open databases for accessing literature on forest science
