OPEN CALL FOR SYMPOSIUM DAY

The symposium will serve as one of the main activities within the IFSS 2025 Indonesia program. This event will facilitate keynote speeches, plenary sessions, focus group discussions,  abstract  presentations, and exhibitions related to global forestry.

Theme: Green Heroes: Achieving Net Zero Emission for Sustainable Forestry

Sub-theme: Forest Multibusiness, Social Forestry, Forest Technology

When: The Symposium will be held on August 19, 2025

Where: The Symposium will be held at the Manggala Building of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Main Agenda:

  • Keynote Speech – These speeches will provide a broad overview of the current challenges and opportunities in forestry, with a focus on Indonesia’s role in global efforts to tackle the Triple Planetary Crisis
  • Plenary Session – This will provide an opportunity for a deeper understanding of the topics, allowing attendees to seek clarification and share their thoughts on the issues being discussed.

The Special Agenda:

  • Focus Group Discussion – The discussion of the key challenges and opportunities in three chambers (groups) within its sub-themes which will be declared on Youth Statement
  • Abstract Presentation – Participants will present an abstract related to the symposium’s themes in abstract presentations.
  • Grand Exhibition – The Grand Exhibition will take the form of stands and displays, where participants, researchers, and organizations can showcase their products, innovations, and research findings.
