UNFF 20 – Meet the IFSA Delegates
The 20th Session of the United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF 20) will take place in the
United Nations Headquarters in New York, United States, from the 5th to the 9th May,
2025. As the official Constituency of the Children and Youth Major Group to UNFF, IFSA will
bring young voices to global forest policy discussions by sending a diverse delegation.
The UNFF is a high-level platform dedicated to promoting global sustainable forest
management. At the twentieth session of the UNFF, policymakers, stakeholders, and key
groups will unite to deliberate and collaborate on effective solutions to address global
forest-related challenges. The discussions will focus on implementing the United Nations
Strategic Plan for Forest 2030, addressing climate change, biodiversity conservation, and
the socio-economic benefits of forests. The engagement of youths is critical to these
discussions, and IFSA delegates will play a key role in amplifying youth perspectives.
