With our big annual event IFSS now complete, we are holding an open call for a host for Interim 2015-2016! Would you like the experience of being an Organising Committee and show your hospitality to the IFSA family?

Interim is the mid-year meeting for IFSA officials. It usually lasts for a week, and takes place between late December and early February. Since most of the work that we do is spread all over the world, this is a chance for officials to be able to get together and work face-to-face. Officials explain the difficulties met during the first part of their terms, try to find solutions to them, and plan the work towards the next General Assembly.

So… what what would hosting Interim involve?

It would involve providing:

  • Accommodation

  • Food

  • And a working space for approximately 15-30 people (depending on how many officials confirm their attendance).

The main objective of hosting Interim is to give officials a working space, so it does not need to be anything elaborate. Of course extra activities are welcome,to perhaps catch a breath after all of the work, but these are optional.

So if you are looking for ways in which your LC can get more actively involved in IFSA, and test your fundraising skills to host events, your chance might be here!

To those of you interested in hosting Interim, please save the following into a .pdf file:

  • The name and location of your LC
  • A description of why you would like to host the meeting

  • The location you would hold the event

  • An outline of the budget (rough)

  • Potential/preferred dates

  • Potential capacity of participants

  • Bonus: estimate of participation cost per official (if possible!)

All applications should be submitted to: [email protected] before August 29th, 1:00 pm GMT-5. This will be a rolling application, meaning that if an outstanding application is received before the deadline, the Interim host could be appointed even before the deadline.
