People’s voices from the forest – Reflection on public measures mitigating negative effects of the Covid19 pandemic on the forest sector

In this side event, representatives of the MG Women, MG Indigenous Peoples, MG Workers, and Trade Union, and a Governmental official will give input presentations on national, regional, and local public measures that are seen as beneficial in mitigating the negative impacts for forest-dependent user groups.

By highlighting best practices, the side event aims to inspire other public officials on how to better mitigate negative Covid19 impacts in the forest sector and aims to stimulate debates on if and how functioning measures can be transferred into different national, regional, or local contexts. In addition, remaining challenges and outlooks will be portrayed by the panelists.

Join us on April 29, at 1:30-2:45 pm New York Time!
