This interdisciplinary workshop is held by the Global Peatland Initiative within UN Environment and will take place at the International Tropical Peatland Centre in Bogor, Indonesia at 10th/11th of July 2019. It is MANDATORY to arrive beforehand on the 9th of July and depart no earlier than the 12th. Also, it is required that applicants finished at least their undergraduate degree, preferably already pursuing a post-graduate program. Applicants should show a research specialisation in the following fields: Soil science, hydrology, geology, climatology, vegetation science, forestry in the peat sector or paludiculture.

The aim of the interdisciplinary workshop is to assess possible evaluation approaches to measure the health status of tropical peatland ecosystems. The Workshop aims to bring together experts from various disciplines to explore this issue.

Additionally, all travel expenses (incl. accommodation) are fully covered by UN Environment.
