“ENHANCING FORESTRY EDUCATION IN AFRICA”

Date and time: 8th of September, 19:45-21:00 Venue: Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (Durban ICC), room 21ABC Organized jointly by International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA) and International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO), this side event aims to review and discuss the current state of forestry education in Africa and provides a platform for dialogue between students and professionals. Students across Africa have the chance to identify and define the main gaps and challenges in forestry education during the pre-side event workshop. Outcomes of the workshop will feed into panel discussion, where panelists and audience will express their opinions, comments and views about solutions to these matters and issues.
